How to develop a truly student-centered T&L environment, where they are not just consumers of knowledge but also producers?

Personally I agree. We could share control and use of discussion forum and blog functions and find other ways to allow students to create / co-create knowledge.

I think, perhaps, that in the same way that educators have adapted to use VLEs and learning platforms to host their content and knowledge for consuming, a similar need is present for the students as producers to disseminate and share their knowledge, without it appearing as basic as a primary school 'show and tell' session. The answer may lie as much in the format as it does in the process. Just a thought.
