This post by Carolyn Samuel at McGill suggests that one lesson from the Covid-19 crisis might be the need for PPE (Pandemic Promoted Empathy, not vital medical equipment). We teachers have suddenly been called on to engage in difficult new learning. This should help us remember how students feel as they encounter new knowledge and ideas and struggle to make sense of it.

I find this very true. Being forced to remain "socially distant" has brought about empathy (PPE), somehow counterintuitively. Thanks for sharing!
