In Tuesday's seminar on the Art of Law Teaching we talked about whether the move online caused by COVID-19 will be a long-term feature. I think it will and one reason for that is that teaching and learning online has proved to be more effective than we might have imagined. This article in University World News, reporting the views of students in the UK, confirms that students have found much to like. There are downsides and challenges, as the article notes. One of these challenges lies in the need to provide the social, collegiate, community aspects of a university experience. The article also suggests listening to the student voice as we try to re-design for online learning.
